Thank You

The saying “If you don’t have anything nice to say – then don’t say anything at all” can change your words dramatically. Or the saying “That your cup is half full rather than half empty” is all about our attitude and how we view things. If we were to take a moment and look around us and behold how blessed we really are, we might even shock ourselves. It can be the sun rising, the stars shining so bright; to that smile from your children God gave you. We can miss Gods awesomeness with us being so busy. We can forget to daily praise Him for who He is and what He has done for us. Psalms 48: 1 “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.” Psalms 96: 4 “For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared above all Gods.” Psalms 145: 21 “My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord: and let all flesh bless His holy name forever and ever.” Just as we tell our kids to always say “Thank you” how often are we saying “Thank you God for who you are?” Just praising Him without requests or demands, but to simply praise and worship Him. When we do praise Him, He is honored above all things and isn’t that what we want to always do?

Weekly Take Away:

Are you more focused on what you want God to do for you rather than thanking Him for who He is? Is is easier for you to feel the cup is half empty rather then half full? Even if everything around you seems in a mess and uncertain remember God is still good and He is still loving you and He will never leave you!!

Gift of Love

I heard a line in a Christmas movie once where a woman told a man that the first gift ever given was a child- meaning Jesus being born. It was a great movie, and that line is one that I will never for
