Take Me Back
There's an old movie called Back To The Future. I'm sure everyone knows of it. It's about a teen and a nutty professor who can go back in time. When these two decide to go back they do some changing of events, including the teens parents. When they come back to the present time his parents are totally different. They have more respect for themselves, others and even their finances are dramatically better. It's a funny movie and can cause you to ask yourself "If I had a time machine, would I go back and do things different?" We all can look at our lives and say, "Oh, if only I could back and re-do that." It's those things that have the power to bring such regret.
I Corinthians 13:11 says "When I was a child I talked like a child, I thought as a child, I reasoned as a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me."
2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here."
You see Christ is our "Time Machine." We become new through Him. Things of our past are "Passed" away. Maybe we will never forget them, but with the Lord, they are no longer remembered and we are set free, and become new.
Weekly Take Away:

Obviously we cant go back and redo events in our life- even though we may wish we could. However THROUGH Jesus all things do become new when we surrender all to Him. We are no longer defined by our wrong decisions and that is true freedom. Whatever you may be feeling regretful about, know that once you ask for forgiveness God forgives and its gone. We then learn from those mistakes and hopefully allow God to lead us!!
