Over-Load

(This devotion comes from the book we are going through called God's Garden. This book and others can be purchased though prayingwivesandmothersministries.org or through Amazon.)

Over - Load

There is one outlet in our garage that time to time will not work- it gets overloaded and shuts off. My husband says all the time “We need to get that fixed.” Our lives in effect can be the same way. We can experience “Overload” and either we snap or fall from shear exhaustion. We feel like we just cannot take or handle one more thing. There seems to be not enough time in the day for everything we need to do or even just have five minutes for ourselves.

Isaiah 40: 31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not faint and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint” At those moments when were feeling overloaded, we need to take a breath – a deep breath. To wait upon the Lord for His strength -which will be all the strength we need for that moment and for the rest of the day. We will be flying high like the eagles and flying high in the Lord.

We all have busy schedules and feel like we cant handle one more thing at times. Maybe we need to remove some things or have better time management. This is why its so important to spend time with Jesus and gleaning from Him. Giving Him room to speak to us, refresh us and for us to focus on Him!!
