God's Tool Box
As a little girl, I spent a lot of time in the garage with my Grandfather messing around with his tools. He would tell me about each one and how to use it properly. He had a garage full of anything you could imagine. He truly really valued his tools and took good care of them. It didn’t matter if they were old or new, they were all important to him.
Romans 2: 11 “For there is no respect of persons with God.” Ephesians 6: 8-9 “Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free and, ye masters do the same things unto them forbearing threatening knowing that your master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.” We all are God’s children – His “Tools” to be used in many ways. One “Tool” is not more valuable than the other. It is just meant to be used in a different way at a different time. Of all the tools my Grandfather had, he never threw any away. He knew it had a purpose to be used and in time knew he would need it. That’s how God feels about us – we are His “Tools" and will use us if we are willing. He created us for purpose and we need to seek Him and His will for our lives. When we do, He will reveal to us what He wants us to do for Him and for others. It will be a joy for us to be His “Tools” in service.
Weekly Take Away:
Don't compare yourself to others- wishing you were like them. You are unique and made for a specific calling and YOUR needed just the way you are to serve those around you. God loves each of us the same- he doesn't make comparisons because He made each of us for His glory!!!
