Burden Free

There are five members to my family and that equals a lot of trash every week. I’m amazed at how many bags go out. I see it all piled up at the end of the driveway and then it’s gone. Sometimes I see the truck come and take it and sometimes I don’t. What matters most in the end is that its all gone! I don’t know where it all goes or exactly how it gets there, I’m just glad I don’t have to worry about it anymore. Every week is the same.

The same process also applies to us with our cares and burdens. Giving him all our concerns, burdens and cares is something that doesn't come easy, but He is the only one who can truly help us during those times and it is what He asks us to do.

Psalms 55:22 “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."

1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.

”There will always be things that will come up in our lives. Things that cause hurt, anger, fear, anxiety etc… we don’t need to hang on to them though. He tells us to cast all of our burdens on Him and He will handle them, and give us strength. He cant help us though if we don’t give it all to Him and allow Him to work. He doesn’t say give only 1 or 2 burdens, but ALL of them. Only when we begin to hand over everything to Him, trust Him, and believe Him will we start to see His work begin.Just like our trash every week it won’t be taken away unless we first put it out there. What do we need to “Put out there” for the Lord to handle?

"YOU HAVE TRASH SERVICE---- SO USE IT!

"What issues are pressing in right now causing fear, sickness, uncertainty and stress? If the trash so to speak isn't taken out on a daily basis the homes we live in would be stinky, over crowded, and a mess---same with us. We have to give God all our daily trash so we can keep our "Homes" clean and less crowded.

Gift of Love

I heard a line in a Christmas movie once where a woman told a man that the first gift ever given was a child- meaning Jesus being born. It was a great movie, and that line is one that I will never for
